cardiac care

Heart disease is one of the leading causes of death in this country and represents a significant percentage of the home care nurse's case load, even if it's notcardiac care the patient's primary diagnosis.

SVNA nurses are highly experienced in cardiac care. The nurse begins by assessing cardiopulmonary status and monitors activity level, nutrition and overall lifestyle. Early intervention and careful supervision can keep cardiac patients at an optimal level of health while enjoying the familiar comforts of home.

Cardiac patients benefit greatly from SVNA's Telehealth home monitoring system, which transmits vital signs directly to the SVNA office via telephone lines. Telehealth enables SVNA cardiac patients to take an active role in maintaining their health and lets them see how daily life choices can contribute to their well being.
