SVNA's medical social worker has extensive experience in dealing with individuals and families to improve and maintain their social, emotional, functional and physical health. His particular skill is helping to develop the coping skills of patients dealing with a serious or long term illness and of family members caring for an ill or frail loved one at home as well as crisis intervention.

In additional to emotional support, our medical social worker can assist in sorting through the complicated federal and state requirements for health care funding.

SVNA also offers an ongoing bereavement support group that is open to anyone in the community.
