therapy services

SVNA physical, occupational and speech therapists evaluate and treat clients in the privacy of their homes. Therapy services are provided on the order of the client's physician and are usually covered by insurance.

Physical Therapy
SVNA physical therapists assess strength, range of motion, balance and coordination in designing an individual program of exercises that can restore function, improve mobility, and relieve pain, among other benefits.

Orthopedic Care
Physical therapy is frequently prescribed for patients recovering from back or joint surgery to help them regain flexibility and stability. Often a pre- operative physical therapy program can speed post-operative recovery.

Occupational Therapy
SVNA occupational therapists work with clients who are physically, mentally or emotionally challenged to improve basic motor function and reasoning ability. Their goal is to help clients attain or regain independence by developing the skills that will enable them to perform the tasks required for daily living and in a work environment. Occupational therapists also work with clients who are permanently disabled to develop abilities that can compensate for the loss of function.

Speech Therapy
SVNA speech therapists diagnose and treat a variety of speech, voice and language disorders. These disorders can include those that result from stroke, hearing loss, cerebral palsy or head injury.
