SVNA Hires New Physical Therapist

The Salisbury Visiting Nurse Association has appointed Laura French as the new Physical Therapist a position previously held by Joyce Ferrentino who has retired from SVNA.

Laura French is a 2002 graduate of the University of New Hampshire with a Bachelors in English with a Business Administration minor. Laura took a position with an IT Solutions company that she had worked for while in college and was trained as a quality assurance tester for various consulting projects. While working in a cubicle on the 23rd floor of a building in NYC, Laura had the realization that she would be much happier working with people rather than computers.  She switched gears and went back to college to take science courses. After shadowing different healthcare professionals, Laura found that she was drawn to physical therapy. Laura was accepted into and graduated from Sage Graduate School in Troy, NY in 2008 with a Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy. She has worked in the Northwest Corner since then. Laura is grateful to have met and worked with so many wonderful people. She is looking forward to continuing to try and improve the quality of people’s lives with her skills in the homecare setting.

I am very pleased to have Laura on board, her qualifications are impeccable and her passion for advocating for the patient is perfectly suited to our agency’s mission” says Nancy Deming, SVNA’s Executive Director.
